Do It Yourself Steps
5. Put Food Coloring into Water
Measure 1 and 1/2 cups of warm water into your measuring cup. If you are using food coloring, add a couple of drops into the water and mix it well.
6. Add Water to Mixing Bowl
Add your colorful water into your mixing bowl with the flour, salt, oil and cream of tartar.
7. Mix Well
Mix all your ingredients thoroughly and keep mixing until your Play Dough starts to form. Your Play Dough should become smooth and less gooey.
8. Check Play Dough
Take out your Play Dough from the bowl and continue mixing and kneading it with your hands. To test if your dough is done, pinch a piece of the Play Dough; if it doesn’t stick to your fingers, it’s ready! If you notice that it’s still sticking add a bit more flour and keep kneading.
9. Store the Play Dough
When you’re done playing with your super amazing Play Dough, store it in a resealable plastic bag or plastic container.
